The Award winning magazine, Empire Chess is the official magazine of the New York State Chess Association. It is published quarterly (Winter, Spring, Summer & Fall), and contains local and statewide chess news, contact information for chess clubs, tournament coverage, annotated games, articles by GMs and much, much more!
Empire Chess was started over twenty five (25) years ago, and continues today as a magazine the chess world respects and admires. If you wish to subscribe to Empire Chess, please email Phyllis Benjamin.
Our Current Editor is Karl Heck. Mr. Heck has been Editor for over three years.

Submission Guidelines:
Please send articles and advertisements via e-mail in camera-ready format for publication. Chess games should be in ChessBase, with boards and positions in final form. Articles should be written in Microsoft Word, Times New Roman font, size 11. Photographs should be sent separately as attachments, and should be a TIF file out of Adobe Photoshop.
